Tecie Turner-Newman, CSW-PIP

With a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a master's in social work, I offer a holistic approach in my clinical practice. Both of my educational backgrounds are invaluable in the way I support others. The past ten years of my clinical experience has specialized in trauma, chronic pain, and other somatic symptoms related to the human condition. I’ve learned to explore how mind and brain processes influence health and physical sensations. I view each person through a lens of how their relationships and life experiences have shaped their nervous system to understand what is occurring on a physical level. I balance my passion for this work with time spent with my family, gardening, hiking and running. I’m a Rapid City transplant, but the beautiful Black Hills have become my permanent home.
